About the Community

a. Who is this community for?

The Women in Focus community is for women across Australia who know the value of connection. We open doors for you to connect with the people, resources and information essential to starting or growing your business or pursuing your career.

 

b. Who manages it?
The community is managed by a dedicated Women in Focus team who connect, inform and inspire members through unique online and face to face experiences.


c. How do I get in touch with the Women in Focus team?
You can contact us via email womeninfocus@cba.com.au or by calling 1300 225 641. Feel free to post, tweet, hashtag, connect, like, comment or reply on social media or send us a private message through the Women in Focus community profile.

 

 

How to Join Women in Focus

a. How do I join Women in Focus?

Joining is quick and easy — simply select ‘Become a member’ from the yellow user panel at the top of home page womeninfocus.com.au

Answer some basic registration questions and you’re a member.


b.  Is it free to join?
Absolutely. Women in Focus is free to everyone.

 

Log in, then click the Welcome link in the yellow user bar at the top of the page to go to your profile.

On your profile page, click Edit profile. You can add, change or delete details, add pictures, or change your privacy settings.

How do I share the site with my colleagues and friends?

There are a number of different ways you can share the site with your friends.


a. Select ‘Invite a friend’ from the left-hand navigation panel, found on the front homepage and other spaces across the site.

An email will be sent to your colleague or friend inviting them to join the community. You have the option of also adding a personal note.

b. You have the option of sharing the content on your Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn or you can email the content directly to your friend or colleague.

c. If your colleague or friend is already a member of the community you can share a piece of content with them by selecting the ‘Share’ button located on the right-hand side of the site.

 

If you’re friend or colleague isn’t already a member you can type their email address in and it will send them an invite to the community rather than the a link to the piece of content.

3. How to Subscribe to Women in Focus

a. How do I subscribe?

To subscribe to the community enter your email address into the Weekly Newsletter widget, located on the left-hand side of front homepage womeninfocus.com.au

 

b. How do I become a member after subscribing?

To become a member after subscribing simply select ‘Become a member’ from the yellow user panel found at the top of the site. Complete the registration form.

 

Once you’re a member you will receive both the weekly newsletter and will also be able to interact and post to the community. Your subscriber account will be replaced with your new membership so that you only receive the newsletter once on Thursday evening.

 


4.  How to Manage your Profile

a. How do I create and edit my profile?

Once you’re a member of the community you can edit your profile at any stage by selecting ‘Edit profile & privacy’ from the drop down box, located next to your name, at the top of the site.

 

b. How do I upload my photo to my profile?

Log into the community and select ‘Change photo & avatar’ from the drop down box, located beside your name, at the top  of the site.

 

c. How do I change my password?

To change your password select ‘Change password’ from the drop down box, located next to your name, at the top of the site.

 

d. Can I change my username?

To change your username contact the Women in Focus team by emailing womeninfocus@cba.com.au or calling 1300 225 641.

 

e. Who can see my details? How do I protect my privacy?

You can protect your privacy and control who sees your details at any stage by selecting ‘Edit profile & privacy’ from the drop down box, located next to your name, at the top of the site.

 

Select the ‘Privacy Settings’ tab and change the visibility of the profile fields according to who you wish to share your details with. Select ‘Save’ once you’re happy with your changes.

 

Everyone – visible to everyone visiting the site ie members and non members

Registered users – only visible to logged in members

Connections – only visible to those members you’ve selected to follow. Members who have selected to follow you will only be able to see these fields if you select to follow them also. To find out more about connecting with members visit womeninfocus.com.au/DOC/doc-1111

Yourself – not visible to anyone except yourself.

 

f. I’ve changed my privacy settings. How do I check that they're working?

You can check what your profile will look like by selecting the visibility options from the ‘Preview your profile’ box, located on the right-hand side of the site.

g. I'm leaving the community. How do I delete my profile?

If you wish to remove your profile from the community email womeninfocus@cba.com.au or call 1300 225 641. The operations team will remove your profile from the community for you.

 

 

How to Use The Site

a. How do I find what I'm looking for?

There are a number of different ways you can find what you’re looking for:

  1. You can use the navigation bar if you wish to visit a specific space in the community.
  2. You can search the community by typing a keyword into the search field, located at the top of the site. You can then filter these search results by content type, people or place.

b. Is the site moderated?

Articles and photos are moderated, while blog posts, comments and discussions are not moderated.


If you decide to contribute an article to our Publications space it will be reviewed by our content team, only selected member articles will be published to the community. If you’d like to find out more about articles visit womeninfocus.com.au/DOC/doc-xxxx


Profile photos as well as photos uploaded to your photo album will be moderated by our operations team before being published to the community.

 

c. How do I report abuse?

If you come across a post that you believe is offensive and does not fit in with the spirit of the community then you can report this post to our Operations team by selecting ‘Report Abuse’, located at the bottom of the post. Our Operations team will take action and keep you informed along the way.

 

 

The site looks different on my friend's computer. What's up?

The site will look different depending on what browser you’re viewing it in as well as your browser settings. We recommend that you view the site on either your PC or Mac using one of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari


You can view the full site on your iPad or the mobile version of the site on your iPhone or Android.
